Kitchen Companion

I want to introduce you to our kitchen companion, Zoe. She's our sweet girl, an eighteen-month old black lab mix.  We've had her since she was 8 weeks old, and she's grown quite a bit since then. She loves helping us out and keeping us company when we cook.

Whether lying on the floor between the kitchen and dining room,

sniffing in the direction of the counter to figure out if it's worthwhile to stick around and catch anything brave enough to make the dive to the floor,

or waiting patiently for the inevitable shredded cheese crumbs to be swept off the counter,

she keeps us company and keeps the floor clean in all of our kitchen adventures. (And because I have my camera in the kitchen, she has been the subject of almost as many photos as the food itself!)
